1. Who operates the app

See Support for contact options. A working privacy contact must be configured before app-store publication.

2. Information we process

• Account and access: your mobile phone number, verification state, reader account identifier, book registration and entitlement records, and remembered devices.
• Reading and playback: book and chapter identifiers, EPUB location or progress, audiobook playback position, and relevant timestamps.
• Book registration: title identifiers, registration or activation references, and records showing which titles are associated with your account.
• Technical data: IP address, browser/device attributes, cookies or session identifiers, and server logs needed for delivery, authentication, security, and debugging.
• Support communications: information you choose to provide when contacting our team.

3. How we use information

We use this information to verify identity, provide and restore book access, sync reading/listening progress, operate and secure the service, respond to support requests, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations. We do not need your contacts, location, microphone, or camera for the core reading experience.

4. Service providers

We may use service providers for hosting and storage, SMS verification, and technical operations. Providers receive information needed to perform their functions and may process it under their own applicable notices and agreements. A finalized production policy should name or link the actual providers used in deployment.

5. Cookies, on-device storage, and permissions

Session cookies and local storage may be used to remember verification, reader display preferences, and reading or playback location. Your device or browser settings may allow you to clear stored information. Push notifications, if introduced, should require the appropriate permission.

6. Retention

Account, entitlement, device, and progress information is held while needed to operate your reader account and until you request deletion, subject to permitted or required exceptions. Limited security, registration, and other records may be retained when necessary to satisfy legal obligations or resolve disputes. Temporary verification and technical logs are kept for operational and security needs under applicable retention settings.

7. Delete your account and data

You can initiate deletion in the app through Account → Delete account, or online without installing or signing into the app:

1. Enter the phone number linked to your books if you are signed out.
2. Request and enter the six-digit SMS verification code.
3. Type DELETE and confirm permanent deletion.

This removes your reader identity, linked book entitlements, remembered-device records, and saved reading/listening progress. Books previously associated with that reader account will no longer appear in its library. Books and publisher-owned creative assets are not removed. Information that must be retained for legal, security, or dispute-resolution reasons may remain as described above.

If you no longer have access to your phone, contact Support for an assisted deletion request and alternative verification.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain information about personal data, or to object to certain uses. Contact support to request assistance. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

9. Children

The reader app is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without necessary permission, contact support.

10. Security and changes

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect account and reading data, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change and will display the effective date of the current version.
